The overall tone of Beyond Dreams is a bit dark and many patches have a gritty, distorted tone. In addition, there are also some funny and strange effects. The sequence patches are a bit lighter in tone. Categories include harps, bass, bass loops, fx, leads, pads, keys and plucks, soundscapes, percussion, and the previously mentioned sequences.
All patches are programmed for use with the modulation wheel. Pitchwheel is also a major player in most patches with effects programmed into it. 4 XY pads add some extra dimension and patch functionality.
