Description:
The only synthesizer you need to create a hit!
Many people say that Electra3 is the most powerful synthesizer on the market. It’s a bold statement, but why is it true?
Tone2 Electra has breathed new life into the concept of “synthesizer workstation”. With its powerful and sonic
universal approach to audio production, it brings you truly outstanding new sounds.
The instrument is equipped with a high-quality sound engine with multi-layer support and a wide range of
musical production functions. Friendly, easy to use interface allows novices
it is easy to create sounds, and for experts to delve into sound design as deeply as they want. Thanks to,
that Tone2 is based on high-end technology, you are not only working with the best sound quality,
but also with less CPU consumption and a larger palette for creating original sounds than with any other type of workstation.
Electra3 comes with an amazing collection of 1439 production-ready sounds,
created by professional sound engineers. Intelligent Patch Browser
gives you an instant overview of all available categories and sounds.
Just select the sound you want – it’s that simple.
New features in Electra3

New features – interface:
GUI with 16 different sizes (with and without editor/effects).
Native support for WQHD, 4K, 5K and 8K UHD displays.
The GUI can be scaled from 50% to 300% by clicking on the bottom right corner.
Smoother animations and more responsive controls.
Support for hardware acceleration.
Ultra-sharp graphics with improved HiDpi and Retina Display support.
The SYNTH button flashes when the layer is playing a note. This makes it easier to work with multiple arpeggiators.
Automatic detection of the ideal GUI size.
The check mark shows the last loaded custom waveform.
Online help with tutorial videos.
New Features – Synthesis:
118 additional patches using new features. Now the synthesizer comes with 1439 patches.
The 8Bit noise oscillator can create lo-fi fx sounds from the past. The sound can be changed using PW and a key.
Major and minor chords are available as additional key modes for the arpeggiator.
The new “Transient Shaper” adds dynamics and presence to sounds. It can be accessed in the “Sound Mode” selector.
The new ‘Transient + Bass’ mode adds presence and dynamic bass pressure to sounds. It can be accessed in the ‘sound mode’ selector.
New types of analog pulse oscillators: Pulse 1/2, Pulse 2/5, Pulse 1/3, Pulse 1/4, Pulse 1/5, Pulse 1/6, Pulse 1/8.
New types of analog oscillators with inverted phase: Saw invert, Pulse invert.
New types of analog oscillators: Impulse, Sine Flip, Comb 2, Comb 3.
New reverb types: Cold, Theater and Hangar.
40 new waveforms for custom wave/wavetable oscillators.
New Bipolar Modulation Source: “Step LFO/Envelope +-“.
Monophonic LFOs that only retrigger on the first key pressed (set LFO mode to ‘Mono’).
Mono STEP LFOs (set trigger mode to ‘Mono loop’).
Improvements – synthesis:
The audio engine now uses 64-bit precision instead of 32-bit, resulting in higher audio quality.
Reduced CPU load.
Increased maximum delay time.
Improved the sound of automatic micro-tuning, recognizing a wide range of chords.
Replaced ‘Reverb Hall’ algorithm with better sounding algorithm.
The sound of ‘Cathedral’, ‘Room’, ‘Infinity’, ‘Big’, ‘Glass’, ‘Plate’ reverbs has been slightly improved.
The Arpeggiator’s Stack mode has been improved and can handle polyphonic input and doubled notes.
Improved unison sound.
Unused matrix slots are automatically cleared after patches are saved. New multi-step endwave / LFO (available for each of the 4 synth layers):
STEP LFO has been completely rewritten.
It can be used as a multi-step envelop by changing the launch mode to Envelope.
The modulation capabilities of the synthesizer have been greatly expanded.
Editing and sound design became more intuitive.
The real-time display visualizes the current form.
The current playback position is displayed.
Unused parts of the LFO are muted.
The STEP LFO shape and values are no longer only updated after NoteOn.
It provides more accurate synchronization.
It is able to interpolate and sounds much smoother.
New Multistep-Envelope/LFO waveforms:
Linear to left : Smoothly interpolates to the left step.
Cubic to left : Interpolates using a cubic spline.
Analog Slow : Smoothes the low cut analog envelope.
Analog Middle : Smoothes the analog envelope with a middle cut.
Analog fast : An smoothinghigh cutoff analog envelope.
Analog reverse : Inverted analog envelope.
Saw down : Stepped down ramp.
Saw up: Stepped ramp up.
Triangle: Stepped ramp up and down.
Triangle 25% : An oblique triangle.
Triangle 75% : An oblique triangle.
Pulse 0% : The second part of the step is 0.
Pulse 50% : The first part of the step is 0.
Decay 1 : Analog slow decay envelope.
Decay 2 : Fast analog decay envelope.
Attack 1: Slow analog attack envelope.
Attack 2 : Fast analog attack envelope.
Sine / 2 : Sine at half frequency.
Cosine / 2 : Half frequency cosine.
Sinus + -: Bipolar sinus.
FM Sine : FM modulated sine is useful for wobblers.
FM Square: FM modulated square wave.
FM Saw down : An FM modulated saw is useful for swinging.
FM Saw up: An FM modulated saw is useful for swinging.
Noise : Noisy step.
Diffusion : Diffusion with noise between steps.
Improvements – interface:
Completely rewritten GUI code.
More beautiful graphics for LCD displays.
Animation of filters, LFOs, waveforms and envelopes is significantly faster and smoother.
More contrasting knobs.
Reworked many graphic elements.
The LFO waveform display is now larger.
The keyboard in the patch browser is hidden when the editor or effects are hidden.
Clarified many coordinates in the interface.
Some colors have been corrected.
Better control over cutoff and filter parameters.
More tooltips with better descriptions.
Layers are initialized with a smoothed gate shape.
The patch browser can now also be opened by clicking on “BROWSER” or on the display in the upper left corner.
Hovering over ‘BROWSER’ displays a finger to indicate that the control can be clicked.
The interface takes on a blue shadow when drag & drop modulation is used.
When STEP Lfo is used in a patch, it is shown automatically after loading.
The user is warned if he/she selects a GUI size that is too large for the screen.
Improvements – synthesis:
Improved sound quality.
More accurate pitch calculation.
More precise LFO timing.
Improved white noise sound.
Improved pink noise sound.
The analog oscillators are more finely tuned and have nicer noise.
The shape and values of the Step LFO are no longer only updated on NoteOn.
Step LFO can interpolate and sound smoother.
Other improvements:
Improved DAW compatibility and stability.
Performance optimization.
More precise determination of the installation path on the PC to avoid duplication.
All links are now https.
A huge number of small improvements.
