Description: Test Press’s D&B Textures series returns with DnB Textures 2. We bring you a collection of sounds for melodic, organic and atmospheric drum and bass. This package includes live-recorded drum breaks, soft, organic pads, ambiance-like pads, powerful basslines, keyboard and synth loops, tempo-synced effects and a wide range of bass, drum and percussion one-shots, effects and synths. We used a variety of vintage and modern studio equipment to create the sounds in this pack. Drum grooves were played on a live drum kit and then sampled, chopped and transferred to the Akai S3000 in a way that classic software tone samplers couldn’t match. The Novation Bass Station 2, along with the synthesizer-like EMU and Yamaha samplers, provided amazing bass. And what better way to get really-sounding pads than a custom-programmed Roland JV-2080? The sounds were then processed using a golden-era Studiomaster analog console, embellishing the waveforms with tight preamp tone and superb EQ, and then recorded using the Metric Halo 3D audio interface. Oakley-Moog hardware filters and a cassette deck were also used. Although the focus is on the melodic end of the drum and bass spectrum, this package is useful for anyone who likes a bit of character in their productions.
