Description: A 100% organic sample pack was developed by artist and activist Madame Gandhi and the Woodstock-based New York music group Sound MANA. Working in collaboration, they aimed to create a collection of sounds that would help creators connect with nature. They made unique high quality field recordings of plants and animals in nature to see how they would be used as electronic sounds.
Madame Gandhi shared, “As a producer I very often find that I like what is available to me on the Internet, and yet I don’t know where the sound came from. I want my audience to be inspired by what nature has to offer. With this package, I set out to contribute to a movement that is critical not only of the source of the toolkit, but also of the content of our lyrics. As an artist and producer, I see tremendous opportunities in the ability to create music and sounds that raise the collective consciousness. With this set, we hope the Splice community will find joy in reconnecting with nature. ”
