Publisher: Splice Originals

Format: WAV
Quality: 24 bit 44.1 kHz stereo

Description: In collaboration with Sam Obey (aka Obey City and half of Ensemble Entendu and Dave + Sam), we dived deeply into the R&B rhythms of the 80s and early 90s. This release is not just R&B. These are zigzags and riddles, swings and courage. We’ve drawn influences from fusion genres such as New Jack Swing with its Roland TR-808 drum machines and syncopated beats. We borrowed from ballads, capturing the deepest emotions. We added dance tempos from disco boogie and bass lines from deep and neo-funk.
We were inspired by artists such as Mary Jane Girls, SOS Band, Babyface and Shalamar. You can expect a lot of DX7 synth sounds and classic drum machines. If you want to take a sonic journey through the classic hits of the 80s and 90s in a modern high-quality performance, look no further. These sounds are sure to add some sweetness to your compositions.
