Description: Lofi Scifi with Adam Schatz dates back to the early days of synthesizers and sci-fi jazz from the 1960s and 1970s using tenor saxophone, organs, bass clarinet, electric bass, drum machines, synthesizers like Neon Egg’s Planetarium , Moog Sub 37 and many other instruments have gone through tape recorders. This experimental package explores what the avant-garde music of the 1960s looks like with a more modern twist.
Adam Schatz is a songwriter, improviser and producer based in Newton, Massachusetts. He moved to New York to study saxophone, where he formed the joint improvisational band Father Figures and the adventurous rock band Landlady. Schatz treats all of his projects as adventures, observing the world with fresh, almost alien eyes. In his studio, the Chamber of Commerce, he produced recordings for artists such as Renata Zeiger, Danke, Isaac Gillespie and others.
We hope you use the sounds in this set to break your boundaries and try new ways. This pushes you out of your comfort zone into uncharted territory.
