Description : Microrgan is a vintage 49-key electric reed organ created in the 1950s by Italian electronic company Farfisa. The rare and sought-after sources of this classic instrument are shrouded in mystery, and our specific keyboard for many years still sounded good, like the new one thanks to its solid mechanics and simple design, although it was already worn out. We captured her warm, modest and yet saturated tone with infinite sustain and dense staccato. But in order to render the instrument far beyond the usual library of reed-shaped organs, we also created 20 amazing sound tunable synthesizers, special effects and 40 unique atmospheric sound zones that can be played sequentially in the form of atmospheric synthesizers, drones and pads, or used directly in the your DAW to create music and texture.
We packed the GUI with a lot of great sound control elements that give you the flexibility to form the sound in different ways. You have control over the volume, attack, release, transients, vibrato and octave. Slider control “Glide” allows you to play legato and portamento. You will also find an adaptable LFO system, with selectable shape, modulation target parameter, speed, intensity, timing with tempo and decay time. You can also use 13 low and treble filters and effects with the specified modulation control parameters, including Velocity, modulation wheel, expression, aftertouch, key position and table sequencer control. You can also use our custom arpeggiator with the built-in Velocity Sequencer table and control the direction of the arpeggiated elements, note time, offset, randomization and duration.
In addition to dynamic sound control and mixing, the instrument is equipped with a customizable user interface and a full effects rack with a convolutional reverb with over 100 different rooms, halls, squares and special FX pulses.
Microrgan was recorded by John Valasis. John is a Greek composer, producer and sound engineer. In his Athenian studio, he provides music accompaniment and sound design for a large number of local and international clients. John’s clients are prestigious brands such as Native Instruments, Ableton, Soundiron, Virgin, Amazon Prime Video, Vice Magazine and BBC. Since 2014, John belongs to the register of Ninja Tune Just Is not Music, along with such artists as Amon Tobin, Bonobo, Flying Lotus and The Cinematic Orchestra.
John’s professional experience began in the 90s, manifested in his late teens as a composer and producer of popular music and gradually expanding his skills in a variety of genres. Thanks to the abilities that he gained from his 20-year professional career, as well as his genuine love for emotional music, he managed to create a vivid musical identity that is expressed in individuality and diversity. When he does not work very hard, John uses Poordream music as a means to freely express his emotions and influences without limitations and to study the sound and composition outside of ordinary electronic music.
Microrgan was recorded in the studio, using a pair of microphones Neumann TLM 103. We also recorded presets with staccato and sustain for each key. The built-in vibrato and FX stand provide an easy and convenient interface for fully adjusting and shaping your fat analog sound in accordance with a variety of creative possibilities.
The library is equipped with flexible management functions, such as Swell, pitch Glide, Attack, Release, Vibrato and Octave. There is also a full set of DSP effects, including a convolution reverb with many unique spaces such as cathedrals, churches, halls, bunkers, garages, tunnels, cameras, rooms and a host of otherworldly FX impulses for a full immersion and an endless variety of strange and unexpected sound manipulations.
