Yamaha TX81Z NKI is a library of sounds of the most powerful vintage modul synth Yamaha TX81Zin format NKI.
This is as good a time as any to point out that this is not a library you’d install with “Add Library…..”. This is the 3rd in a row I’ve run across that is .nki only, accessible under “Instruments” button above the Kontakt library browser. I’m beginning to think that installable libraries are the exception, given the frequency of “no library found” results.
Which leads to my own question as to whether .nki files CAN be assembled into an actual library? Is Kontakt a sample construction kit? I’m much more inclined to call Kontakt full version not much more than a sample player……. between severe ADHD and persistent composer’s block, 99% of this stuff gets a few moments of exploration, then assigned to the LONG Procrastination list 🙂
