So we decided to get in the studio to analyze their sound and uncover some of the next level mixing and production techniques they used on their rise to the top.
The result is a genre bending soundset for both Xfer Records Serum and NI Massive that pushes Future Bass and mainstream Pop EDM into new territory. Inspired by Gray, Gray Area V.1 has everything you need to capture their hybrid sound.
The presets and sounds in Gray Area V.1 are not just recreations or close approximations of some of Gray’s most iconic songs. We definitely remade some of them the most famous sounds, but we also pushed them to create new and fresh presets that we feel Gray would like to use in their own productions.
The core of the Gray Area V.1 is the 120 Serum presets and the 66. Snappy 808’s, hybrid string Future Bass chord presets, drop defining leads, and unique key and mallet sounds like marimbas, kalimbas and more, fill out a truly diverse collection of presets.

Grey’s percussion and drum game is on the point – A huge component of Gray’s overall sound. That’s why we created 245 custom drum one shots that will make your drum programming a breeze. We even went to the local high school and recorded drumsticks, snaps and included.
