The CZ-Alpha is a Kontakt sample library containing a 100 patches produced on a classic Casio CZ-101 phase distortion synthesizer. We designed this instrument with a retro feel in mind and created a graphical interface reminiscent of the genuine hardware of the 1980s while taking full advantage of all the modern possibilities that Kontakt provides.
The instrument allows you to explore each patch and manipulate them with a selection of effects.
We have scripted the instrument so that each patch remembers your settings allowing you to move between patches without losing your changes. The instruments also give you the option to edit all the patches in one go if you prefer.
The download includes four Kontakt instruments (NKIs) and almost 5000 samples. The individual patches are spread across the four NKIs: Bass & Leads, Pads, Keys, and FX. To make it easy to navigate through the patches we’ve included key switches that will move you to the next or previous patch, you can also select a patch directly from a drop down menu, or use a continuous controller to jump to a specific patch.
