Whether you want to create a full solo, some cool chords or bass lines, or just want this outstanding instrument to take your work to the next level, The Resource – Lost Tapes is a musical treasure chest waiting to be opened.
The library is ideal for producers of house, hip-hop, pop, jazz, soul, funk or adding something real to their latest electronic production. It is also a great addition to the original version of The Resource.
This release has a pretty serious history. When we released the original The Resource, it brought together four legendary Ueberschall products that had never been digitally available for download before. One such product was Vintage Licks & Phrases. For this title, we have recorded a huge collection of inspiring musical phrases. They have been played on a wide variety of instruments by some top-notch studio musicians. After weeks of editing, Vintage Licks & Phrases was released in 2002.
However, DVD drives were not common in studios at the time, so Vintage Licks & Phrases was released on a CD-ROM box set. Even with five CDs, we had limited space, and after editing sessions, we had to leave out a huge amount of amazing material. This material was archived, but, unfortunately, over time it was forgotten. However, by sheer luck, these loops were recently rediscovered, and it was immediately apparent that these “lost tapes” contained some kind of magical material. The collection includes completely new phrases, as well as variants of material that has already been published on The Resource. Now, with the flexibility provided by the digital world, we can finally do justice to this material and make it all available as an Elastik library.
Resource – Lost Tapes contains over 11,000 loops and phrases, with 7.5 GB data samples organized in 6 Elastik sound banks. Instruments include electric bass, saxophone, trumpet, flugelhorn, clavinet, organ, synthesizers, electric guitar, acoustic piano, and electric piano. The phrases were originally recorded at 120 beats per minute and are also divided into three keys: A, D and E minor. However, with the power of Elastik, including tempo control and ReTune, you can fine tune individual loops to perfectly match your overall project.
