Description:
Mastering is one of the most important parts of the music production process. This is a unique art, and for 25 years WaveLab has been the number one choice for professionals.
The Steinberg WaveLab universal audio editor is a powerful tool for professional editing, restoration of sound files, and editing of high-resolution sound recordings.
The software has a wide range of users – from amateurs to recording professionals and is characterized by the highest sound quality.
The editor runs on 64-bit Windows operating systems with standard MIDI controllers such as Steinberg CI, CMC, CC121.
WaveLab is superior in functionality to many audio processing programs. The editor provides fast conversion of audio files through batch processing, creation of backup copies and generation of playlists, development of original projects for Audio CD and DVD, as well as the unique ability to add sound effects to an audio file directly at the time of its playback.
The open architecture of the program allows users to add new useful functions to it.
What’s new in WaveLab 12:
Steinberg is releasing an updated version of its audio editing software that includes many new features.
It is noted that the main innovation of Wavelab 12 is the ability to run a sound editor as a plug-in in ARA-compatible DAWs such as Cubase, Nuendo, Reaper or Studio One. In addition, visualization of audio signals in several colors corresponding to the spectral content has appeared, as well as automatic addition of transition markers, which allows you to bind the selection to transition points for faster navigation. Additionally, there are now improved audio sharing capabilities with other applications, with the ability to transfer any audio range from Wavelab to any other software (there are no size or other restrictions).
Other changes and improvements include: All standard editing actions can now be automatically linked to crossfades; automatic scaling of the waveform to peaks; synchronized navigation through sound files and editing; automatic matching of reference track volumes to audio edit outputs and vice versa for accurate A/B comparisons; new startup assistant; new built-in ASIO driver for Windows and much more. It is noted that the Pro version of the program also comes with many new plug-ins, including Black Valve and VoxComp compressors, a Raiser limiter and a pair of Pultec EQ emulations.
