Description: Magnus is a vintage (1960s) analog chord organ with 37 keys. This three-octave chord organ was originally manufactured by Magnus Harmonica Corporation. It has six major and six minor chords. MHC was founded by Danish immigrant Finn Magnus, who supplied American troops with harmonicas during World War II and then sold millions of affordable electric chord organs and songbooks under the Magnus Organ Corporation until the late 70s, before acquiring the World Book Encyclopedia. Subsequently, production ceased.
But it was not there! We caught his fat, buttery, old-school tone with endless sustains and tight staccatos. To go beyond the usual analog chord organ sample library, we’ve also created 20 stunning audio custom chord presets and effects and 40 unique sound designs that can be chromatically played as atmospheric synths, dronescapes and pads, or used directly in your DAW for emphasis and texture.
We’ve included a lot of great audio controls in the GUI that allow you to flexibly change the shape in a variety of ways. You can control the levels of volume, attack, release, time offset, vibrato and octave. The “Glide” control slider allows you to play legato and portamento. You’ll also find an adaptable LFO system with selectable LFO shape, modulation target, speed, intensity, time sync, and onset time. You can also apply your choice of 13 low-pass, high-pass and FX filters with assignable modulation control parameters, including speed, modulus, expression, aftertouch, key position and step sequencer table controls. You can also use our custom arpeggiator with built-in sequencer velocity table and control of direction, note time, swing, randomization and duration. The included FX rack gives you an easy-to-use interface allowing you to fully customize and shape your fat analog sound to suit a variety of creative styles.
