A good relationship between the phases of the tracks in the mixer is the basis for great sounding mix.
Typically, when summing mixer channels into one stereo mix bus, tools overlap and interact with each other over a range of frequencies and phase position. Often, the bass track may temporarily be out of phase with the barrel or rhythm guitar, and the summation in the mix it leads to their subtraction to each other, in the frequency range where they overlap, which in turn leads to a temporary formation of a “hole” in the low frequency range. Likewise, the snare may ultimately flat sound in the mix if it resonate with the volume out of phase.
Designed to improve any mix, Pi dynamically rotates the phase of the individual channels in the mixer for maximum phase correlation within the mix.
