How to create a kit
* After you have selected a line in ARCADE, go to the Patterns tab. Then click “Create Kit” on any swatch to get started! You can also create a set using your own samples. Just drag and drop them into ARCADE, hover over the one you want to use and click “Create Bundle. ARCADE will then analyze the selected sample.
* After analysis, play around to see all the great ways ARCADE has already processed your sample.
* Choose from six FX presets in the center of the screen to swap customizable macros and place your set in the perfect sonic space. Or turn off FX altogether.
* The Kit Generator automatically changes the pitch and time to match your new kit to the session’s current key and tempo. If you need to make adjustments, click the ellipsis. Then set your preferred key and tempo and let ARCADE do the rest.
How to set up your custom kit
* You can change how your ARCADE sample is sliced by selecting one of the four “slicing modes” located under the FX hub.
* Standard Mode: Select “Standard” mode to create rhythmic loops in time with the tempo of the session.
* Stretch Mode: Use the “stretch” mode to speed up or down loops, reverse them, or swing back and forth like a pendulum without changing the pitch of the sample.
* Stretched Mode: “Shifted” mode does everything that “stretched” mode can do, simultaneously raising or lowering the pitch of a sample within the session’s key.
* Slicing mode: Finally, the Slicing mode evenly distributes loops along the entire length of the sample.
* If you want, you can always play the full original loop on the high C key of the ARCADE keyboard.
Finally, like any proud parent, give your kit a strong name. And don’t forget to save! You can now access your new kit at any time through the Custom Kit Library.
It’s never been easier to set up ARCADE’s state-of-the-art sample processing engine, so get out there, play beautifully and most importantly… have fun
