It’s easy to find a place for them in ambient and electronic music. Thanks to Hollywood audio engineer extraordinaire, Alessandro Camnasio, the sound in DRONAR Vintage Synth has been edited and processed to present a more interesting and vibrant sound than the original synth.

This simple process allows you to play and tweak at the same time for a truly expressive and immersive experience. In addition, DRONAR Vintage Synth features four additional pages of controls, FX, and an innovative arpeggiator to really immerse yourself and explore the potential of this revolutionary engine.
HOW IT WORKS: DRONAR creates emotional atmospheres from very few notes played. It automatically spreads the chord in the middle of the range, adds a root bass note, a high note, and then adds developing sound effects. 8 simultaneous different sounds are then brought to life by the LFO, rhythm sequencer and arpeggiators for a rich and dramatic result.
FOR BEGINNERS AND ADVANCED: Beginners only need to play a few notes and remix a few dials to get such a rich expression, but the expert will go further by knowing what notes to play and how to express emotions with the dials. In addition to the Home Page, the instrument has a whole world of expert control, turning the DRONAR into a vast modular multi-timbral synth/sampler with multiple independent arpeggiators. Expect to spend hours in an immersive, hypnotic state of audio customization.

NTENSITY DIAL: (also controlled by modulation wheel) allows you to get from silent to powerful decay through different velocities.
MOVEMENT DIAL: Has a global effect on the intensity of the arpeggiators – set it to maximum for powerful effects and to minimum for a flat pad sound.
HI, MID and LO DIALS: Control the automatically generated high notes, mid range notes and bass notes. Moving these dials has a huge expressive effect on the music. It’s similar to using a mixing console, and yet – because it’s accessible, you get a balanced result as part of an original creative expression.
FX DIAL: Controls the level of sound effects in the mix and adds instant movement and complexity.
EXPERT PAGE: Provides all settings for the current, last played drone from 12 keys. Each drone has four layers – FX, HI, MID, LO – and the Expert page provides a separate set of controls for each layer, such as a rack of four synths or four mixing channels. Each layer consists of two different sounds. Need some inspiration? Click the “Randomize Samples” button on the Expert page and Dronar will save all your settings, but instantly replace the samples in 8 sound slots (2 per layer). New sonic variations will abound. Want to thicken your sound? Each layer has a THICK button that adds additional notes. Got the sound you want? Simply save your settings using the “Store Drone” button.
LFO and FX PAGE: Add movement to your sound including panning, vibrato or siren effects with LFO settings. Or tweak Drone Effects to distort or dampen sound, or add density, interest and color. This page also allows you to control reverb and delay.
ARPEGGIATOR PAGE: Get sounds that actually move or pulse over time, synchronized to the tempo of your DAW with several of DRONAR’s unique independent arpeggiators, including PITCH, INTENSITY and FILTER.
PITCH: While other arpeggiators re-trigger the note on each step, DRONAR’s tone arpeggiator reproduces all the notes you hold with a smooth transition between them. It’s like passing different chord sounds through different channels on a mixer and then gradually firing up the faders to create the feel of an arpeggio. The advantage of this approach is that you can choose how powerfully the arpeggiator is driven.
INTENSITY: While other arpeggiators control the volume of the sound, the INTENSITY arpeggiator is more expressive, controlling the dynamic level of velocity of the sound. It’s as if the values you set here move the modulation wheel up and down in the pattern, transitioning between soft and intense samples.
Master FX PAGE: This page has standard effects including EQ, Compressor, Delay and Gate. DRONAR also includes a pair of digital (algorithmic) reverbs and a selection of convolution pulses, including some creative and unusual pulses for sound design.
