Description : Welcome to the World Color Series!
The Pipa is a traditional Chinese plucked string instrument similar to the Western lute.

The Pipa is a four-string instrument with a pear-shaped body. It has a short curved neck with thirty frets that cover part of the body, which provides excellent continuation.

Our award-winning team has put incredible effort into capturing performances of the best musicians on a world-class stage. An exquisite instrument with the latest technology. This library offers unparalleled quality and endless creativity. We have spent thousands of hours ensuring that this library will add a new dimension of authenticity to your next production. Like our other product lines, we always strive to capture a live and human performance, making the instrument fun and intuitive to play.

Articulation Boxes – Just below the instrument header text are the 3 center boxes. In each box you can select and load an articulation. Since there are 3 boxes, you can load up to 3 articulations per preset “slot”.

Articulation Box Threshold – Between the 3 articulation boxes is the sensitivity threshold. This controls the movement between the 3 boxes. For example, if the Vertical Mode is set to “Velocity” and your keypress is between 0-80, you will play the bottom box, 81-109 will play the middle box, and 110-127 will play the top box.

Horizontal Mode – Controls how you access the preset “slots”. The most common mode is “keyswitches”, although you can use any other midi CC between each slot.

Virtual Mode – Controls how you move between the articulation boxes. For example, if it is set to “Velocity”, you can use keystrokes to play different “articulation fields”. Depending on how you like to work, you can choose a different MIDI controller method.

Slots – One “slot” is essentially a preset of 3 “articulation cells”. You can have up to 20 “slots”. The large grid in the middle of the interface shows how many “slots” are in use and which one is selected at any given time.

KSW – Allows you to set a starting note to map your group of “key switches”. For example, if set to C0, the first switch will start on C0 and the rest will follow chromatically.

Legato ON- As an experiment, we added a SIPS script to create fake legato. This is more of a bonus feature, but it can be useful for more melodic lines.
