Description: Welcome to the World Color series!
The pipa is a traditional Chinese plucked string instrument similar to the Western lute.
The pipa is a four-stringed instrument with a pear-shaped soundboard. It has a short, curved neck with thirty frets that cover part of the soundboard for excellent continuity.
Our award-winning team has gone to incredible lengths to capture top musicians performing on world-class stages. An exquisite instrument with the latest technology. This library offers unparalleled quality and endless creativity. We’ve spent thousands of hours ensuring this library adds a new dimension of authenticity to your next product. Like our other product lines, we always strive to capture live and human performances to make playing the instrument fun and intuitive.

Articulation Boxes – Immediately below the instrument title text are 3 central boxes. In each field you can select and load articulation. Since there are 3 blocks, you can load up to 3 articulations per preset “slot”.

Articulation Box Threshold – Between the three articulation boxes is the sensitivity threshold. It regulates movement between 3 boxes. For example, if “Vertical Mode” is set to “Velocity” and the keystroke ranges from 0 to 80, you will play the bottom box, 81-109 will play the middle box, and 110-127 will play the top box.

Horizontal Mode – Controls access to preset “slots”. The most common mode is “keyswitches”, although you can use any other midi CC between each slot.

Virtual Mode – Controls how you move between articulation fields. For example, if it is set to “Velocity”, you can use keypresses to produce different “articulatory fields”. Depending on how you like to work, you may choose a different MIDI controller method.

Slots – One “slot” is essentially a preset of 3 “articulation slots”. You can have up to 20 “slots”. The large grid in the middle of the interface shows how many “slots” are in use and which one is selected at any given time.

KSW – Allows you to set the starting note for mapping your “key switch” group. For example, if set to C0, the first switch will start at C0 and the rest will follow chromatically.

Legato ON – As an experiment, we added a SIPS script to create a fake legato. This is more of a bonus feature, but can be useful for more melodic lines.
