Artists such as Mac DeMarco, Khruangbin, and the Unknown Mortal Orchestra have defined and propelled the genre into the mainstream, creating a soundtrack to scenes of surfing, skateboarding and other once underground subcultures.
With this set of sounds, Arthouse Acoustics went even further, writing original compositions, recording live guitars, bass, vintage keys and vocals. They then experimented with creative processing at their studio in Brighton, UK.
These acoustic and analog recordings have been sliced, processed and resampled to offer truly unique textures, layers and melodic inspiration.
