Description : This virtual instrument is an “extended”, as is customary in the company Arturia, a copy of the well-known synthesizer Minimoog D. About the original is already written so much, including on the pages of MO, that we will not dwell on this. It should be mentioned, perhaps, that Minimoog was still a monophonic analog synthesizer, and its sound-generating circuit contained three oscillators with a mixer, as well as a filter and an amplifier with its own envelope generators.
Mini V, in fact, took from the original only the “picture” and the basic topology. What the Arturia engineers did is in fact no longer a “mini-arc.” Take at least the appeared polyphony (up to 32 votes). But at the same time, the character of the sound of the patches, built according to the original scheme, without additions, still remains recognizably “Mugovskim”. That turned out to be a mysterious tool.
