Description : CZ V models Casio CZ-101 and CZ-1000, two iconic synthesizers behind many pop hits of the 80s. It adds a ton of new features that make it a tool for the ages. Casio digital synthesizers of the mid-80s were light for the price and great in sound. Listen to it, and your music will become really great with a new, improved CZ V.
Like you, we love synthesizers for every taste. That’s why we just had to recreate the true essence of Casio’s patented phase distortion synthesis, which made their CZ series so popular. You do not need to understand how phase distortion works – just let your ears hear how cool and unique it will sound in your music.
As you would expect from the entire V Arturia collection, our improvements transform CZ into an even more formidable sonic power that can transform your music.
Released in 1984, the CZ-101 was Casio’s answer to the extremely popular Yamaha DX7. It was much cheaper and it was much easier to program than a competitor. Instead of frequency modulation, Casio’s phase distortion (PD) used various user-selected signals to modulate the synchronization of simple carrier waves at the loop level to create more complex waveforms. This simplified form of digital synthesis made it possible to relatively easily improve a wide range of timbres, including warm pads, natural percussion, a buzzing figure, sci-fi effects, and even analog synthesizers.
Although the PD may sound like FM, it also has a unique sound feature. The CZ sound helped attract the attention of artists such as Salt-N-Pepa, Was (Not Was) and Vince Clarke. Let’s add your name to this list.
